Fitness, well being, weight loss, recovery, core strength, rehabilitation? Whatever your personal goals may be, Green Zone Fitness can help you achieve them.
For those of you who haven’t heard, Green Zone Fitness is a contemporary training facility which breaks the mould of what most people consider a traditional gym to be. It caters for everyone, no matter what your fitness levels are, Green Zone Fitness provides state of the art equipment and support.
From the moment you enter Green Zone you’re welcomed by inviting staff who are genuinely interested in helping you achieve your goals. I was most impressed by the friendly environment and flexible timetables that suited my work schedule perfectly, in addition it’s also family friendly as it offers evening creche facilities enabling me to work around my children’s after school commitments too. A further advantage is that they offer kids boxing classes during school term.
I simply walked in and experienced it first hand. I was immediately impressed with how friendly and inviting the staff were, in spite of my feelings of trepidation I was experiencing on the inside, my anxieties were instantly alleviated as I felt relaxed and impressed with the facilities. Any insecurities I once felt vanished and I began to feel motivated and to feel as though I can do this. Being greeted with a smile and being made to feel at ease made all the difference.
Work Life Balance
It’s fair to say that I lead a busy life filled with family, work, and health concerns due to a chronic health condition paired with an immune dysfunction and neuropathy issues. I work hard to maintain my health within the realms of my limitations and strive for a work life balance to enable me to do that. Green Zone, provides me with the ability to do this, including my down times when I need to recover, including cryotherapy. Cryotherapy promotes health and wellness, sport and fitness, and provides beauty benefits too.
So what is it?
Cryotherapy, it beats an ice bath that’s for sure. Cryotherapy is the process of gradually using cold temperatures for recovery and health benefits. It’s known to decrease fatigue, improve your immune system, increase Energy and Metabolism levels, decrease muscle soreness and inflammation, helps reduce the risk of muscle soreness (DOMS), and assists athletes to increase their energy levels and achieve peak athletic performance. As with any form of therapy, I would recommend to consult with your doctor and health care professionals to start the discussion as to how cryotherapy at Green Zone Fitness can assist you.
Green zone Fitness centres in Joondalup and Warrick are the creation of perth’s three-time world boxing champion Danny Green. His experience and life long commitment to sport and improving one’s life is evident in the facilities and programs offered at Green Zone. It’s fair to assume given Danny’s boxing background that it would be solely dedicated to boxing, however it’s just the opposite. The human body is complex and Green Zone provides various training programs to accommodate this via gym floor, functional training, 12 rounds boxing circuit, and wellness.
I declared 2017 as being the year of being kind to myself by listening to my body, taking control of my well being, and making the time to be active. If you want to start, or continue, your journey toward a healthier future too, I challenge you to step into Green Zone.

We are looking forward to working with Sherree and Peter & their dancers from Electric Entertainment Dance School and Promotions in Yanchep, Western Australia. They are a newly established dance school lead by trained dancers who focus on fun & fitness.
Dance concerts always bring an air of excitement, especially as this event is their first showcase. Working with and promoting local businesses is something RG Wild Photography is very proud of. We too started from humble beginnings and appreciate the hard work and commitment it takes to run a small business.
We are certain that we will be presented with an electric performance tonight. See you there!

I’m often asked: “What is the most rewarding aspect of my line of work?” At times it can be difficult to narrow it down. However as with any position, working as a photographer requires various roles. For me the most rewarding is the human connection & learning from others.
Every connection is unique as the individual characters I meet. I enjoy getting to know what motivates and encourages people to be who they are. The act of listening and learning from people’s life stories is quite fascinating and makes for a constant reminder to me that strength, courage, & inspiration can be found in the most unassuming people.
Nothing could be accurate than the heroic nature of this couple. I will always be indebted to them for the profound gift of perspective they granted me; and I will always be appreciative to them for allowing me to capture the beauty, love, & honesty that their wedding day embraced.
From the moment this Groom met his Bride he was smitten. He knew he had found ‘the one’ and from that moment on wards they never looked back. As with every remarkable love story it’s combined with heartache; this couple’s time together was tragically cut sort for the Bride was terminally ill. Understandably some people may have been too traumatised to have continued however this couple chose to combat their limited time by filling it with things they valued & admired, including their love & commitment to each other & their loved ones.
Defying medical science they achieved lifelong goals of visiting family & friends in Ireland, taking their son to Disneyland, a new puppy, & getting married. They chose to pair their wedding ceremony with their Irish heritage and celebrate their love by getting married on St. Patrick’s Day.
In similar vain to the allegory of St Patrick, in which he defied malevolent forces by driving away the metaphoric snakes out of Ireland, this couple challenged the inevitable outcome by making the most of the time they had together. Instead of focusing on their limitations they took this knowledge as a gift of time and made the most of their precious time together. Their wedding day oozed joy, there was an unspoken appreciation for all involved that we were witnessing something remarkable & we all walked away enriched by the experience.
I’m not sure I know what the definition of happiness is, however I do know that this couple understood what love is. Moreover they recognised that the pursuit of happiness lies in making the most of every opportunity life brings you, irrespective of he challenges one faces or the time restrictions in place. I find this to be profoundly inspirational.
Now to revisit the original question: “What do I find most rewarding about my job?” My answer would be: the inspiration and courage I find in the people I meet, as it empowers me to be a better person. I couldn’t possibly ask for a more rewarding perk.
Today marks their first wedding anniversary, it warms my heart to know that in spite for her passing, she and their love will be celebrated. Undoubtedly, for those who knew her the day will commence with a heavy heart however we will not allow that to cloud our focus. Today, St Patricks Day, is a blended celebration of an inspirational saint, a fabulous culture, & honouring this gorgeous bride’s legacy.
As much as it pains me to know she is no longer with us, my heart is filled with immense pride & comforted by the knowledge that I knew such an amazing & inspirational woman.
To the Larkin + Lynch Families, Thank you for welcoming me into your lives & for enabling me to be a part of such a remarkable day. My thoughts are with you all.

A young guy + a beautiful girl = a bump!
IMAGES BY RG WILD PHOTOGRAPHY | PERTH
One of the best elements of what we do here at RG Wild Photography is being able to contribute to someone's life story by documenting them & their loved ones just as they are at one moment in time. With this young couple, RG Wild Photography has been fortunate enough to help them celebrate various milestones as their relationship matures, starting with their engagement, wedding, & now their pregnancy.
They were thrilled to discover that they were expecting their first child and wanted to capture the love they had for one another at this stage of their lives together. Being true to themselves they wanted the images to depict them naturally in a setting that was familiar to them.
The cities of Fremantle & Cottesloe hold significance for this soon to be trio as it sets the scene for their love story. It was the location of their first date, their engagement session, and their wedding ceremony at St Patrick’s Basilica followed by their reception at Little Creatures Brewery. Therefore, the natural progression would be to celebrate their most recent milestone in the environment which offers continuity for our maternity photo shoot.
As well as providing a photographic journal for this couple life's journey, RG Wild Photography offers them the freedom & flexibility to chose a setting that reflects their unique style & personality, which benefits us both tremendously. Being in a familiar environment helps to create a relaxed & enjoyable atmosphere. Feeling at ease during a photo session enables us to capture the fun & candid images that we're recognised for.
We wish this couple all the best for the remainder of their pregnancy and we look forward to the magical time where 1+1 = 3.
Your bump will fade as you welcome your child into the world. RG Wild Photography is eager to capture the next chapter of your life's story as a family of 3!
Thank you for choosing RG Wild Photography. Enjoy!

Yesterday RG Wild Photography had the privilege of being a part of a kindergarten activity.
The task is designed to encourage family activity and to reiterate the language and communication skills learnt at kindergarten, in this instance the child has the responsibility to take home the class toy, in this case “Shamrock Shaun” for the week, and record an entry into the class journal with the intention of sharing their adventures though out the week with their class mates when they return to school.
This little Miss chose to include Shamrock Shaun in her family's photo shoot, she was very proud and I genuinely enjoyed the opportunity to be part of her learning experience. The timing of the photo session & task was purely coincidental; however I felt that I too should include a journal (aka blog) entry to commemorate my experience with Shamrock Shaun.
Enjoy the rest of your week together and I wish you all the best of luck when you have to retell your adventures at school. I am certain your teacher & friends will love hearing the tales of your adventures.

Courage, truth, kindness, & resilience are character traits I admire most in people. I am honoured to have witnessed a person who embodies all these qualities and who stood up in a time of adversity.
RG Wild Photography is proud to have our images associated with an act of bravery and defiance. One can only imagine the initial shock and complete confusion this mother felt when she first read the letter.
It's the choice this mother made after reading this letter that I admire the most. She collected her thoughts made the choice to say "No! I will not let you defeat me by changing how I chose to celebrate my child".
So instead of allowing the tone of the maliciously scripted letter to leave her feeling forlorn & malcontent she choose to stand up and be defiant by sharing her experience.
In turn this Perth Mother has been inundated with words of encouragement & support, which supersedes any negative influence the original letter intended to have.
We thank Jade Ruthven for sharing her experience as we feel we can all benefit in learning from this situation. I firmly believe that her gorgeous little girl Addison is fortunate to have been blessed with such a role model for a mother.

Western Australia Police Pipe Band & Supporter's Association
When the majestic sounds of a bagpipe are heard, it's captivating! It's inevitable that one stops and listens... epically if it's live and the members of pipe band are dressed in police uniforms.
Not only are these police officers serving their community they are entertaining them too. RG Wild Photography has been fortunate enough to have worked at functions alongside the band and we can vouch first hand the quality of the music brilliant it's made better as it accompanied by the friendly and warm nature of the band members. They have a tremendous following within both the emergency services and broader community. This is evident by their increasing social media following and increasing presence at both public and private events. Including the recent sculptures by the sea & the giants exhibitions.
WAPOL will launch their new album "Homeland' in true Scottish Cèilidh style in Maylands this evening March 27 2015. There is no doubt it will be a successful evening it was SOLD OUT prior to the event date..
Although we regret that we couldn't attend the album launch this evening we wish you Officer in charge Sergeant Ian Stewart & the WAPOL members all the very best.

This week I had the opportunity to venture into uncharted waters (pardon the pun!) and attempted underwater photography for the first time.
The theme was maternity and I was blessed with a glowing expectant mother in her second trimester, an amazingly designed & maintained outdoor lap pool; we had the perfect blend of model & setting. Unfortunately Mother Nature had other plans and the threat a tremendous summer stormed loomed over us, the weather gods predicted a gargantuan downpour. Despite the wind, poor light, overcast conditions, & rain. We took the gamble, put the shoot forward by 45 minutes of our scheduled time slot, & gave it a go.
I'm so glad we made the decision to continue with the shoot, not only was it tremendous fun, but I learned a great deal, and can't wait until I have the opportunity to do it again. To top it all off we were treated with a warm spa afterwards which was a perfect ending to our underwater portrait session.

rg wild photography was delighted to be invited back to take part in the 2015 Robert Burns Supper Charity event. The Burns Supper is an extraordinary fundraising event which combines the delight of all things Scottish with the aim to raise funds for Headwest WA, a not for profit organisation that assists people living with ABI (an Acquired Brain Injury).
Headwest extends its support to carers and families too. It aims to strengthen the capabilities & improve the living standards of those suffering with ABI and provides invaluable education, support & guidance to their families, carers and broader communities.
Headwest recognises that in order to help improve the life standards of those living with ABI government involvement, education, & funding is quintessential. Headwest provides a voice for those living in remote areas and works closely with local governments to help encourage and support policies which would inevitably reduce the sense of isolation and increases community involvement.
As the guests arrived they could hear the reception of the bagpipes being played by the WA Police Pipe Band before they entered the picturesque venue at Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club, Peppermint Grove WA. The evening started with a Champagne Reception until the sun set and the rest of the evening was filled with an array of entertainment including: an 'Address to a Haggis', Whisky Tasting, Cocktail Dinner, Charity Auction, Ceilidh Band & Dancing who could ask for a better night?

We are so pleased to announce that our images of Nina & Richard's wedding in Fremantle WA is featured in Australian BRIDE #81 Summer edition, which is on sale now. Be sure to get your copy and look for rg wild photography's work under the "real life" weddings feature. I was honoured to have been asked to capture this wedding & this publication is the perfect accolade to an amazing couple & their wedding celebration.
This No 9 Bridal Couture 'Mexican Fries' gown was customised to suit this stunning bride's wishes. She fell in love with the short sassy look, but preferred a conservative style for the traditional church ceremony. The designers modified the dress by including a long skirt slip which was worn underneath the short gown. The bride opted to surprise her unsuspecting groom during the photo shoot and his reaction was priceless. It was a perfect outfit & gave the bride the perfect blend of conservative class & fun for her reception at Little Creatures, Fremantle.
Feel free to watch the following photo montage to see a glimpse of their special day:

I am a mobile freelance photographer without a permanent studio, to some this may be considered a hindrance but I see it as a positive. It not only gives me the freedom to be flexible, but it extends my work settings into people's family homes. Every photo-shoot presents me with a new working environment & I adapt accordingly.
I am fortunate enough to have always been greeted with warmth & a sense of excitement, which helps set the ambiance perfectly. This was certainly the case with this gorgeous duo. This wide eyed beauty had me from the moment I met her & she was ever so keen to introduce me to her new brother.
I can only imagine that having a new sibling would have been a lot to consider for this charming girl as he has been the centre of her parents universe for a number of years. If she was apprehensive at all she didn't show it, all I saw was love & admiration; combined with a natural sense of curiosity.
I consider it to be an honour to witness and record these moments as they are so precious & new. To have the ability to share these moments with you is an even greater feeling.
Enjoy!

Yesterday I had the good fortune to spend time with my 2 year old Godson. I loved watching him play & seeing him being completely engrossed in his own magical world of pure imagination. I wanted to savour the moment and that feeling lead to an impromptu photo session in my front room. He gave me only 2.5 seconds to capture the shots before he was off playing & exploring the world again... I couldn't resist sharing.
Can't wait for your next visit little man!

It's fair to say that I love cake smash sessions. Not only do I have the opportunity to share in people's celebrations, but I simply adore watching the babies relish in the joy of being able to "smash" their way through their very own birthday cake... And the bonus benefit for them is, they don't have to share any of it.
Credit needs to be given to this little girl's parents as they have raised a delightful, charming, confident, & gracious young girl. Her personality & mood set the tone perfectly for a fun filled "cake smash session".
I wanted to take this opportunity to not only share a selection of images, but also the feedback I received from this session as it gives me a feeling of gratification & pride that I was able to achieve this for this beautiful young girl and her family:
"What a great way to celebrate a milestone. We had sooooo much fun watching Linda capture perfect pictures of our daughter. This is definitely going to be a memory we cherish along with sharing the amazing photos we now have! Thank you for making Abbey's cake smash a super success xxx"
Thank you for choosing rg wild photography as your portrait/cake smash photographer!

On this day, this handsome yet shy (sometimes even anxious young boy), had the opportunity to put his apprehensions aside for a moment or two and live without inhibition.
He's always dreamt of being a hero (one with a red cape). So his parents made it possible.
Seeing the transformation from a reserved young man to one that could hold his head up high & strut proudly in a public arena was an amazing feat to witness.
It's perks like this that make my job priceless. Thank you for choosing rg wild photography to be a part of this little hero's dream.

Yesterday I spent the day systematically going through an old external hard drive when I discovered photos from 2012. It's always fun going reliving old memories & the feeling was made even better, as I had completely forgotten it. Photos do more than capture the moment, they harness a memories and emotions which can be called upon whenever they are viewed.
The photo sequence below was taken during a toilet break, this little Miss had intended on surprising her unsuspecting brothers but it didn't quite go according to plan.
I thought it was cute so that's why I photographed it at the time, it was such a candid and honest moment between siblings. When I saw the photo again yesterday, a few years after the event I let out a hearty guffaw.
Enjoy - rg wild photography
